Legal Aid Supervisor a Masterclass 1

The course is available to you for 12 months from its date of purchase and can be viewed as many times as you wish within this period. This course involves self-study and is not assessed.

On receipt of payment, the course will be added to your account and your account details issued to you via email if the account is newly registered. You can then get started.

Course Summary and Order of Completion



1st
Pre-coursework, Lecture 8, approx 30 mins to complete. Must be submitted to abirichardson@datalaw.org and a copy retained for use during the Live Session

2nd
Recorded webinars, Lectures 1-7. These are 5, 20 minute and 2, 40 minute webinars to view

3rd
Supporting Documentation, Lectures 10 & 11 - Supervisory Specifications and course workbook to be used whilst viewing the online webinars

4th
Interactive Live Session - 90 minute discussion together with other delegates using your pre-coursework scoresheet

5th
Attendance Questionnaire, Lecture 9 - final module of the course to reflect on course learning. Must be submitted to abirichardson@datlaw.org.

Starting the Course



Log in to your Datalaw Account by selecting "Log in" at the top right of the home page and type in your account details.



Access "My Courses" via the Important Shortcuts menu as pictured below.




Click on the Legal Aid Supervisor course window



Course lectures will be displayed



Begin with Section 2 - Pre-coursework and work your way through the webinars in Section 1 . Move your cursor to "Start Lecture"




You can download or print off your documents using the icons displayed below. Use your Course Workbook to help you throughout the course, this is Lecture 11 of Section 4





Once you have completed your lecture, mark it as complete by clicking on the " Mark as completed" box, then click "next" to move to the next
Section.



Please ensure you click "Finish" on the last lecture where prompted to track the course in full



Section 1 - Recorded Webinars. They will range in duration. You can start, pause, rewind or resume where you have left off should you wish to. All webinars must be played through in full to ensure they track on your account successfully.



Section 4 - Supporting documents can be downloaded or printed for reference, please also mark them as complete. 

Section 5 - Interactive Live Session
This module of the course is not completed on your Datalaw account. The sessions are run every month, dates can be found on our website or you can call or email for further details ( 0151 242 0063 / abirichardson@datalaw.org). In order to reserve your place you will need to email us at Datalaw to confirm your chosen date. 

This session takes place at 9.30am. If the session is busy you may be required to attend a later session at 11.30am, we will inform you of this as early as possible to ensure you can attend. 

Our sessions can fill up quickly and if you can NOT attend for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible as if we are only informed within 7 days of the session you may be subject to a cancellation/transfer fee

Please ensure that you: 

have access to a laptop with fully functioning speakers and microphone. You can use a desktop pc with a headset or you can use your computer and dial in using a landline telephone.
have access to a quiet place to ensure you can participate fully in the session.
have Page 10 of your Pre-Coursework scoresheet to hand for the session.

If you are unsure of your requirements or would like to test your equipment, please get in touch a few days before the session and our Support Team can help. 

Section 3 - Attendance Questionnaire
This is the final module of the course and can be downloaded or printed and completed by referring to your workbook exercises. Once complete, this must be submitted to abirichardson@datalaw.org 

Once you have completed all modules of the course you will receive an email notifying you of the date on which you have completed the course and its value in CPD hours together with your course certificate. 

Should you wish to purchase a formal display certificate, they are available for £10 +VAT and will be sent to you by post.
